Erdem-S/S 2012 Chic Pony
Charles Worthington unveils its leading hair trend for SS12 at celebrated London show, Erdem. For SS12, the Erdem collection was inspired by both the iconic Japanese movie “In The Mood For Love” and the nonchalant chic of American actress Chloe Sevigny. Master stylist Marc Trinder worked closely with Charles to create the youthful yet sexy look at Erdem that involved high swinging pony tails. Marc explains “The beauty of this pretty but structured look is that is it easy to create at home in a few simple and easy steps”. Using Charles Worthington's Front Row range, Marc gives us a step by step on how to re-create the look.
Step 1
To prep hair and give it a workable texture use Charles Worthington Front Row Volume Blow Dry Spray at the roots.
Step 2
Spray Charles Worthington Front Row Heat Defence Spray from mid-lengths to ends to protect hair from the tonging that is to come later.
Step 3
Brush hair up into a tight pony tail, two fingers down from the crown and once secured, tong the end three inches using large barreled curling irons to creat a ‘bend’ in the hair, rather than a curl.
Step 4
Run through the pony with your fingers to encourage flyaway’s.
Step 5
Finish the look with Charles Worthington Front Row Forever Lasting Hairspray applied to the front sides of the hair using your fingertips to create a flyaway effect.
