Autumn/Winter '11 Tousled Tail

Erdem’s inspiration for his show at LFW A/W 11 was the look of an "artist's wife" - troubled, traumatic but with an underlying confidence. Make up was quite strong around the girls eyes- the make up artists used black with a hint of blue all around the eyes to give them this artist inspired, messy style.
To compliment this look the Charles Worthington Art Team created the 'tousled tail'-a fishtail plait which is pulled out at the sides to look untidy and imperfect.

Step 1
Prepare the hair by applying Front Row Turn Up the Volume Blow Dry Spray liberally through out, concentrating at the roots.
Step 2
To start use the Front Row Refresh & Revive Dry Shampoo on the underneath of the hair and apply throughout the roots.
Blast excess away with hairdryer.

Step 3
Use a large tong and roughly tong the ends to create a bend in a couple of sections.
Gently back brush the roots on the top section then use a smooth flat brush and brush the hair into a tight pony tail at the nape of the neck and divide into 2 sections.
Step 4
Fish tail braid the pony tail keeping tight at the neck, you take a small section from underneath of one side and join it over to the inside of the other section, repeat this until you reach the bottom and secure with a small clear band.

Step 5
Now pull small random fine pieces of hair away from the braid as well as hair around the face and the hairline.
Step 6
Spray a light coating of Front Row Forever Lasting Hairspray into your hands and smooth over your hair, to add texture and control without making the look sticky.
